STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove will not turn on, first ensure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, then a different part of the oven will need to be replaced. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat won’t do much. An oven won’t heat when there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner will not turn on when an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to fix these problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program functions don’t work. In this case, we can fix control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it might be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians are able to identify the location of the issue and fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine if we are able to fix these parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens can experience door problems. The door will not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to find out why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can resolve the problem.
